Breakfast linked to 'healthy heart'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-23403744

People should eat breakfast to keep their hearts in good condition, according to researchers in the US.

Their study of 27,000 men, in the journal Circulation, showed those skipping breakfast were at a greater risk of heart problems.

The team at the Harvard School of Public Health said missing the meal put an "extra strain" on the body.

The British Heart Foundation said breakfast helped people resist sugary snacks before lunch.

During the winter months as a kid my brother and I would get up at 4 am and run our rabbit traps and if we caught a rabbit we'd have rabbit with breakfast, otherwise it would be oatmeal and eggs. Breakfast it was though. I still want breakfast when I get up, in fact I have some bacon on right now.

As I type this I am sitting here with my cuppa tea and a nice, big bowl of high fiber unsweetened cold cereal blend (bran flakes, grape nuts, etc.) with low fat soy milk.
