An ARNP can get their degree online. And then diagnose and treat patients

Including writing scripts.
The last time I went to the pain doctor I had a new RN and after I told her that I used muscle relaxants to sleep, (they are not addictive and they frigging work) she said, "I'm not going to renew that because that is not what it's for.

I've been on this medication for a long time. Physicians have prescribed it. And now some woman who could have sat on her couch for 4 or 5 years tells me that she is making the decision that I should not be on that drug.

Of course I barely slept last night.

No, they can’t diagnose and treat patients. They can’t even draw blood. The AMA is upset that ARNPs are “infringing” on their market.

I'd make another appointment and see some one else at that clinic (if that's who prescribed the drugs originally). Medical folks have opinions and beliefs that differ from one another and sometimes conflict with what a patient needs/wants. Also I would never see that person again.

When I want/need something I just say it. "Asking" gives them permission to say "no". Does this clinic have other ARNPs? I go to a clinic,,, if I want to see the Doctor I usually just need to wait longer for an appointment.

and interestly enough they prescribed me muscle relaxers for sleep. (Didn't work for me but it was worth a try)

Good luck to you.
