Results of my visit to gastro doc yesterday.

Good news: my bp is utterly normal.

Not so good: I've lost nearly 15 lbs. since last year's visit. I think docs don't like their elderly patients losing weight but I don't feel it is in excess.

bad news: my liver enzymes are up and that means no more wine for dinner (or for anything else). However, those horrible episodes of diarreah or gone, thank god.

Doc said my memory would probably improve (I am doubtful but...).

Hubby was there with me and made an interesting point. My red wine at dinner helps relieve my arthritic lower back pain. I will now depend on Aleve for relief unless I can find a safe drug that helps more.

The doc doesn't believe this was ever a virus caught on a plane. And certainly my blood test showing the elevated enzyme levels raised backs him up. It's just that I got sick right after a trip to CA and my husband got sick (but less severe) a couple of days later.

Oh, well...

IT took office. Everyday it's another disgusting political development that turns my stomach into an acid bath. I care and pity those who wear "I don't care, do you?" apparel.

After giving you advice on diarrhea (BART) , here I go to the hospital for low blood sugar and what do they load me up with - antibiotics which of course is causing problems.

Well, three more days of home therapy on them and then hopefully things will be more solid (pun intended)

CBD hemp lately and I find that it is a pretty good pain reliever as a topical salve, lasts for hours. I make it and use it. If you can obtain CBD iol or tincture, you can use thta as a topical application without bad side affects. Arnica and Comfrey are good for that too but they can poison you after prolonged use... longer than a week at a time and doing that for more than a month can hurt you with hepatic dysfunction so not really safe. Hemp/CBDs are not harmful and can be used daily for long periods.

Also Cannabis products work as topicals too.

6. Have you checked with your doctor about taking Aleve?

I'm not sure that Aleve is going to be any better for your liver than red wine. At the very least, I hope you've asked your doctor about safe dosage/frequency.

Very glad to hear that your bp is normal! That could well help with your memory problems/prevent further problems.

I think it can cause kidney problems as well as liver issues. Safe for some people, but not others.

10. Don't overlook the effectiveness of probiotics for gastro problems. You literally cannot

overdose with them. For my gastro problem a year ago I took 15 probiotic per day (split into 2 servings) of the 90 Billion per capsule strength for 2 months. I noticed an improvement the first week, but I took this dose for two months to see full improvement. I now take 3 capsules of 90 Billion per day, more with weather changes and added life stresses. I also took liquid colloidal silver 2x day by mouth for a week. I have my own machine to make colloidal silver which makes it cheaper than buying it OTC when needed. Probiotics and colloidal silver are my two go-to remedies for gastro problems with me, my horses, and my dogs. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and I said BS to that. I relied on my alternative remedies and no longer test positive for Hashimoto's. I tested at 54 for Hash and now I am consistently below 32. Probiotics and colloidal silver were part of my regimen.
