Related: About this forumIf anyone has experienced vertigo (and tried to deal with it,)
please let me know. I had my first experience today (after having been hearing about a classmate dealing with it for months,) and doing some research, I found a couple of approaches I plan to try.

(130,914 posts)Sorry, somehow the video didnt show up when I first looked. Ime I sometimes have to do it two or three times, and it may take 15 minutes or so after you do it each time before you feel better.

(2,221 posts)I found a video on YouTube a few years ago. Its Dr. Carol Foster from U of Colorado Denver. She demonstrates a half somersault maneuver that I have used and recommended multiple times thru the years. It helps my vertigo quite a bit. I cant post the video here w my dinky old phone, but its easy to find. Good luck! Hope you find something to ease your vertigo-its no fun. PS Years ago my moms doc gave her a medication called Antivert to alleviate her symptoms. Dont know if you want to go the prescription route or not.

(1,729 posts)First it was done by a physical therapist, and then I did it by myself at home till the symptoms disappeared for 24 hours. It wouldnt be a bad idea to have a doctor rule out more serious causes of an especially severe episode of vertigo, as I found out the hard way. Best of lucktake good care. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/319171.php
