Can't we all just stop?

I know there are people who are still angry at me... or Neoma... or Violet_Crumble...or seabeyond or {name the person that hurt you the most in February}.

We are never going to get anywhere if we are at each other's throats. We need to stop... we need to heal... no matter how much you are still hurt (and believe me, I'm plenty hurt by some of the things that were flung at me), this must end.

Next time you want to rip someone apart... rip apart the Republicans that are trying to take away our reproductive rights. Seriously... this isn't helping when we finally get to a place of moving forward.

Just...don't.

I just refer to the simple fact that the left excels the most at the circular firing squad.

This is Day 1 of a new start so let's give it a bit more time.

There was a lot of hurt involved for many over this past while so we should expect a few wild shots over the bow but overall I think we all want this to be a new beginning.

derail the "Hey we're moving forward.. YAY!" thread and now there are people over at the HOF that feel like "none of us" want them to post here.

I should probably just go to bed

I have done so, quite a bit with Seabeyond..She invited me into the Feminist History

forum...This being the case, would you or anyone else be comfortable telling me what

the cause of the aforementioned hurt and anger is/was?

Just wondering.

But basically there was a huge rift in the Feminists forum and we all managed to beat the shit out of each other for the month of Feb and the History of Feminism forum was born.

iverglas was front and center in the rift (she has since been PPR'd), as was Neoma. Most of the rest of us just picked a side and went to town. The sides seemed to come down to "Neoma abused her power" and "iverglas is a bigot and the other hosts protected her".

I just think that harmony is better served now by putting it all to bed. (If you are really curious, advanced search for posts between 12-1-2011 and Feb 28 (or so) in the Meta-Discussion forum for "Feminists" could probably appease that curiosity. I don't know that it will really help you feel like moving forward though).

since things got divisive. So iverglas being gone came as a surprise (she had 38k posts).

I hope things have settled down now so I can go over there and not feel like it's junior high, lol.

8. That's the DU culture in an election year, especially in such an important and rising issue.

Differences are more of a political opportunity, on a personal level or more than that, on a big public board like this one, especially with such easy access to social software.

free themselves and others by figuring out what happened and what class relevance that may have relative to its racist traits.

Unless of course, all of that is just tooooo much for our poor little minds to take personal responsibility for themselves and we should just leave it for some superior being with the right PC branding to tell us what we all think and when we are "free" to do so, that is . . .

So i have no opinions but i do hope that all feminists will support each other and not attack because the world is a pretty harsh place and we need all the friends and allies we can get.
