Anti-Abortion Images Go Beyond Free Speech

(snip)
The horrifically named Genocide Awareness Project, also known as GAP, came on campus on Monday and Tuesday bearing banners portraying graphic images of aborted fetuses next to those of victims of genocide. The organization's display was set up on Fairfield Way, a central location on campus right next to the Student Union. This meant that anyone walking in the center of campus had no choice but to see these images. Additionally, the group had a truck with an image of an aborted fetus that was driven around campus.

Protesters gathered on Tuesday to try and reason with GAP members, asking that they at least take into consideration the emotional health of students, but they refused to stop displaying these images. This showed that they don't actually want to have an informed, civil discussion, but rather want to traumatize people who may have had abortions or might be facing such a decision. Students were arrested for protesting, allegedly for trespassing. Afterward, the GAP organizers erected a barrier that took up most of Fairfield Way, essentially preventing students from going up to them and attempting to engage in productive discourse.

They are so worried about "the children". What kind of nightmares do children have after seeing one of those pictures. Good on the 2 brave kids who tried to stop this. And shame on the school for allowing it. I wonder if they would allow nude pictures on campus.

Were they to show things life sized at the usual time a woman seeks an abortion, it wouldn't be nearly offensive. Of course, if they tell the truth, they undercut their own stupid arguments, all based on lies and twisting what they think is the word of gawd.

I could forgive people for being antiabortion (some of them are just sentimental slobs who love babies) a lot more easily if the most godly among them didn't feel compelled to LIE.

Dismembered full term babies are a LIE.

In that it shows a fetus that is probably early second trimester that says "All life is precious. The morning after pill destroys life."
An uneducated person would conclude that the morning after pill is for aborting a fetus that already has limbs and fingers and toes when the reality is that it prevents the implantation of the group of cells that has no organ differentiation.
I hope that there aren't too many people who, have taken the morning after pill that see that, that think that they are actually having a second trimester abortion.

Go protest fertility clinics for creating so many extra embryos that are potentially a life. Wonder how many are dumped or used for research?

The roads thru UCONN's campus are public roadways. Don't know that you could stop this without shredding the Constitution.

It hits me as pornographic and no one should be exposed to it. I have felt as if the counter imagery is of victims of child abuse. The clearest one I saw was from a medical examiner's text, someone borrowed from the library, of a little dead girl, with a hairbrush embedded in her skull

Whomever, had that child did not deserve one.
