blessed mabon, happy equinox, happy first day of fall

Have A Blessed Mabon 2016

(Also known as Harvest Home, Autumnal Equinox, and Second Harvest)

I hope everyone has a Blessed Mabon on Thursday, September 22 and is able to start bringing the abundance of the year into the forefront of their life be it in harvest, your finances, in your relationships, or even in your spiritual life and give thanks for everything that has led you to where you are at now during the closing months of this year. This is the time to be mirthful in any bounty that you have gained through the year. Share all of your joy in your abundance with those around you! Share with the less fortunate and give family and friends a hand in something that they need doing.

This is also a time for balance as daytime and nighttime become equal in length. As we celebrate any bounty, we must also honor the blessings of growth and decay. We honor the hunted and hunter, plough and scythe. We honor our resources and ancestors who got their families through the cold of winter safely. This is a time to take stock in where you are weak, strong, and somewhere in between spiritually.

Mabon is a time of remembrance and of culling away, of honoring what we have, what we need, and what we can offer to others.

Whatever you do on Mabon though, don’t forget about the feast!
