So did anyone watch the 20/20 interview of Dharum Ravi

It took up about 45 minutes of the show and was clearly intended to show Ravi in his best light. That said, I think he helped himself only marginally. This kid came across as at best a self absorbed twit and at worst a literally careless young man. Ironically, the interviewer was Chris Cuomo who is Andrew Cuomo's brother. I don't think Ravi deserves 10 years, but he does deserve some amount of jail time. He did, no doubt about it, violate both the law against invasion of privacy and the law against obstruction of justice.

Whether he deserves ten years or not is a question, but he does need some time to ponder his position in the world.

did a segment with Matthew Shepard's murderer, what's his name (who cares, right?). It was a disgusting attempt to rewrite the facts of that case, and I'll never forgive her for that.

So it wouldn't surprise me that the same program is trying to minimize Dharun's role in Clementi's public exposure.

That said, I'm inclined to defer somewhat to Clementi's parents. I know they stated that the trial was hard for them, as parents, watching another family go through something like that. Maybe if they can forgive him, something can be worked out?

Nevertheless, he had several opportunities along the way that he refused. So there we go.
