She's willing to stand up for what she believes in. I respect that.

I had heard of Lady Gaga, but had never heard any of her music. I thought that I would hate it and, therefore, didn't want to hear it. That feeling was reinforced by a guy that I worked with who constantly said he 'hated' her music.

One night she was in Milwaukee and I served a couple around my age (47) who told me that they had just come back from the Lady Gaga concert. They seemed happy, but a bit annoyed. I asked them about the concert and they said they had an amazing time and that they just loved Lady Gaga. However the cab driver they had on their way back to the hotel really upset them. He had asked them about where they were and when they told him he said, "Aren't you both a little old to go to a Lady Gaga concert?" They were so angry they made him stop the cab and walked back the rest of the way to the hotel.

I explained to them that music is not a generational thing. Music touches your heart and the singers stir your passions. At least the good ones. I admitted to them that I had never heard any of her music and they told me that if I wanted someone who would stir my passions I should try to listen to her music.

My first song was "Bad Romance" heard on Glee. I liked it a lot. So went looking for others and came upon Born This Way.

Had that song stuck in my head for 2 months. Best 2 months of earworms ever.
