Jesse Tyler Ferguson: Gays Exist Despite Whether Tenn. Says the Word

Jesse Tyler Ferguson defended Modern Family from the backers of the infamous "don't say gay" bill in Tennessee, where lawmakers equated the show with the supposed danger of talking about homosexuality before high school.

Rep. Joey Hensley, chairman of the education subcommittee that approved the bill last week, warned families that ABC's Modern Family might become the place where kids discover that gay people exist, according to a report from the hearing by the Nashville Scene. Then Hensley and his committee passed the "don't say gay" bill.

"If we just don't say things, it's not like they don't exist," argued Ferguson, who is gay, on The View.

"Don't say menopause!" joked Joy Behar. "Bye!"

that it doesn't exist. It would be like being afraid of or hating horses. I'm pretty darn sure I won't suddenly turn into a horse so they trouble me not. I can acknowledge that horses exist. I can peacefully coexist with horses. I have no need to run around screaming about how horses offend god. Their are horses. They are their. Get used to it.
