Texas Oil Exec Exits Moving Car To Beat Gay Man

Texas oil executive Anthony Fera, president of Houston’s MidStar Energy LP and father of The University of Texas Longhorn football team’s 2013 star placekicker, has been charged with assault after violently beating a gay man unconscious in April and fleeing the scene of the crime.

According to police reports, Fera initiated an altercation with two gay men walking along Austin’s Colorado Street on April 18 around 10:25pm, after nearly running them over with his truck.

The victim Andy Smith and his husband Paul von Wupperfeld wrote in statements to police that Fera “came barreling out of the parking lot on our left, almost hitting us,” and yelled “Fuck you faggot” after the couple brought the close call to his attention...

it looks like he is a 1%er. They usually get away with whatever they do. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with the violence especially. What a disgusting thing to do. People are so consumed with hatred toward us. I never have understood why either.

And then they look for someone with an immutable characteristic to make miserable, just so they can tell themselves that someone else has it even worse. It's bullying 101.
