Matt McLean of One News called Pastor Logan Robertson to request a statement in relation to comments made by the Westcity Bible Baptist Church member in response to a gay Christian who recently published a book about his faith.

The book’s author wrote to over four hundred churches asking for feedback, but heard back from Robertson who said: “We are not interested in your filthy lifestyle or book.”

Nearly every one of the very vocal homophobes are men. There are women who oppose homosexuality (see Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin to name two) but it seems those that are reported tend to be men.

They always rail about male homosexuality and give only passing, if any, mention of lesbianism. So it must be for them the fact the Bible says a man shall not lie with another man as with a woman gives homosexual women a free pass.

The vitriol is always over the top - always talking about killing the gays, rounding them up and putting them in prison, telling them to kill themselves, claiming God hates them, etc. This despite what Jesus taught during his ministry about loving everyone and not casting the first stone.

They are selective on which passages from Leviticus they want to follow. They have no problems with eating pork or shellfish. They have no problems with wearing clothing made of mixed fabrics. They have no problem with cutting their beards or not having one at all. The list goes on and on.

The most vitriolic like this guy, the ilk of Westboro Baptist Church and the new one that has popped up in Arizona that thinks if we killed all the gays HIV/AIDS would go away are likely suppressing homosexual desires. The more wild and hateful, the more likely they are closed homosexuals.
