This is a video from my new show, Counterpoint PA, the only grassroots progressive newscast exclusively about Pennsylvania politics.
In this video, I talk about a dramatic stand-off over LGBT equality that happened on the floor of the PA House when Pennsylvania's first openly gay state representative wanted to speak about the US Supreme Court striking down the Defense of Marriage Act as discriminatory and was blocked from speaking by anti-equal rights conservative Republicans, and the very same state rep. coming back the very next day to announce that he's introducing a bill in the PA House to legalize marriage equality for LGBT Pennsylvanians.
