Some advice needed

We have a young man living in our home who says he is gay, he is 19 and very very confused. I do not have any experience whatsoever to call upon in order to give him any advice and am wondering where I might be able to get something, a book or some such that can help him find his way through this struggle. Any info will be greatly appreciated..

They might be able to help. If you are not near Portland there are probably other LBGT community centers in some of the larger cities that might be able to help.
