I am amazed

I started a thread on gd about Gohmert's comment that LGBT people should hide their orientation at work. I tried to be subtle, suggesting that bald men (like him) should hide their baldness at work. I even put this link in the op:

Except for a few fellow LGBT members, all the comments have been in defense of bald men (Bruce Willis is hot!) or about combovers!

Was I too subtle?

is how people could miss the point so completely. Why would anyone assume I need to be schooled in anti- bald-headism?

I know people don't care about LGBT issues, but really, I am totally amazed that they could miss the point so completely.

I think it is a good analogy especially because it has a double meaning to it as well (i.e. some "baldies" can "hide" their baldness). We are only needed when there are pictures to be had, and money to be raised; other than that, we can fuck off.
