I'm nervous...
I wrote a novella (soon to be novel if I can figure out how to add a few more words) called "Pitch". Several people who read it for me told me I should try to get it published. Enter an already published author who asked if she could read it. I sent it to her and she was overly generous in her praise (at least I think so).
She did what's called a beta read on it (finding spelling, punctuation, plot problems, etc) and wrote me back telling me that I did need to publish it and she wanted to help me out.
So now I'm working on the story with the hopes that it will be good enough to publish. If I can get it to 60k words and it gets accepted, it will appear not only as an e-book but also a print version.
One of the things I've always wanted in my life was to do something that had a lasting impression for someone. And now I'm nervous as heck thinking that I might actually have that opportunity.
