I'm thinking Josh's homophobia may be selfphobia. I don't make that statement lightly, and I certainly do not believe that many homophobes are gay, I would say that the vast majority of them are not. I do, however, believe that gaydar is a real phenomenon and Josh registered very high on mine, about 8.5 or 9 out of 10. Some recent statistical studies do seem to prove that gaydar is real, and that some people can discern sexual orientation even from still photographs at rates well above statistical randomness.
His own family took out ads against him because of his homophobia! His own family didn't think he was fit to be in the senate. Just imagine that!
I'm just glad that it's over and he lost. He was very nasty and disrespectful during a debate with Sherrod Brown, outright called him a liar at one point during a public debate, not what you would expect in a senate debate, and I don't think that sort of language or temperament would be acceptable in the senate chamber; the house perhaps, but not the senate.
