Has PRIDE this year affected you any differently from years past?

For some reason it has for me. I'm out of the closet here in Florida, but in my other home in Kentucky not so much. Very few people in Kentucky know that I am Gay and only one person in Kentucky knows that I have A.I.D.S. Well thats all about to change.

Over the weekend I changed hosting companies for my website (I always ran two websites, one for personal (family) and another for the Gay in me).

Well I started redesigning my website for it's new home and instead of two websites I am going to combine them into one and lay all the cards on the table for all to see (I have many people in Kentucky that visit my website and lets just say the new one is going to turn a lot of heads.

I have decided that I am going to be out of the closet no matter where I am or who I am with (it is part of who I am so I am just going to integrate it into my daily life everywhere), they can either accept or they can go fuck themselves, the choice is theirs.

It's going to start with my website and continue when I make my trek up there this fall. Yes I can tell you right now there are going to be problems but I'm a big boy (with big toys to back me up).

I am finally going to be able to be free and be me wherever I go. it's either going to open up a duologue and bring it out in the open as normally as anything else in my life, or it will expose the bigots that just won't accept change.

This is a big step for me to bring this out in the open in such a small & sheltered community but I ain't getting any younger and hopefully it will help the young one's dealing with their sexuality as I did oh so many years ago in that very same town.

with my guy for a long time. Michael and I have been totally open for years now with our families, neighbors and fellow Episcopalian parishioners. No one seems to give a shit. People invite us as a couple to their homes and come to ours when invited. We don't do PDA's but thats not in either of our character-when Michael was married he and his wife didn't either; they've always made me uncomfortable regardless of the participants orientation.

Like you said "they can accept it or they can go fuck themselves". So far pretty much everyone has accepted us. Hope your experience is the same.
