http://www.buzzfeed.com/ashleybaccam/adorable-vintage-photographs-of-gay-couples(I do not claim these people are gay since there's very little way to know for sure, but they do make handsome couples. My favorites were 21, 22, and 23.)
On edit:
While reading the comments I found the link to the site that hosts more of these:
http://gaytwogether.typepad.com/gaytwogether/vintage_photo_memories/
*PLEASE NOTE*
The site does have pictures that would be considered NSFW, though the link to the vintage photos does appear safe. The site also lists other pictures but they don't seem to have much cohesion as far as I can see.

(29,503 posts)But these photos are all fantastic, esp. considering how much more shit gay people got during the times in which these photos were taken - and genuine and heartfelt.

(5,105 posts)In the days these pics were taken, homosexuality was not the top-of-mind topic it is today, thanks to relentless hatemongering and screeching by True Christians, Fox Noise, etc.
People seeing most of these pics (minus kisses) would have likely seen them as "just friends," because actual gay people were thought to fit all sorts of mythical "how to spot one" theories like limp wrists, high voices, monstrous appearances, and were thought to exist only in dark places most "regular folk" would never see. (Actual sex would be another story, obviously.)
In fact, in the times shown, it was humorous to see cross-dressers if they were up on a stage performing. Comedians used drag in their shows, whether on stage or TV. Milton Berle became famous in part by his drag appearances. On TV, even.

(18,219 posts)I think it was the look on the faces of the people.
I am not sure that all of these were gay either---there was a time when affectionate gestures (especially between women or in other countries) were not considered taboo.

(20,219 posts)the young man on the left seems much more invested in the r-ship than his partner on the right. Looks like heartbreak waiting to happen......... (yeah, a subject to which I'm a little overly sensitive.)
