It is undoubtedly the courts which will have to resolve this mess. By mess, I mean the ridiculous craziest exhibited by those who would actually encode these inequalities into the very Constitution which was written to protect these rights.
Somebody needs to say, loud and clear, these inescapable facts. Then, we should ridicule and satire the idiots who would oppose what many, more rational, people see as the inevitable.
I only trust that the courts will have the wisdom to do the right thing. To think otherwise is something I don't want to think about.
That's why we need to work our asses off this year. And LBGT rights aren't the only thing at stake. Every four years I look at the situation and exclaim that this is the most important election of my life. It may be confirmation bias, but this year very well may be that election. Listening to the opposition, I've never in my life heard such utter madness from an entire political party.
So we all have to work as hard as we can to see to it that this madness must not gain power. We can only do that by making the argument. We're going to have to move a mountain before November. So let's get shoveling.
