Innovative Gays Are Racing Through U.S. Cities to Raise Funds for Gay Causes

Chris Bair, the owner of Los Angeles's hip Shorty's barber shop, will soon be running through his city's busy streets, scaling the Hollywood Sign, and traversing the famous La Brea Tar Pits. And he's certainly not doing this for fun.

Bair tells Gay.net that he's taking part in the Concrete Hero challenge, a 5K urban obstacle course that will raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles. In the vein of the San Francisco to Los Angeles LifeCycle AIDS ride, Concrete Hero participants will solicit donors to support their exhausting physical endeavor.
