House Speaker Boehner Thinks ENDA is Unnecessary

Republican House Speaker John Boehner thinks a national law preventing workplace discrimination against LGBT people is not needed, according to reports in the Washington Blade.

The newspaper spoke to the GOP leader about the need for the Employment Nondiscrimination Act in light of resistance from the White House on issuing an executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT workers. The White House is indicating they want such action passed legislatively, through the ENDA bill.

"John Boehner seems woefully under-educated on the discrimination LGBT people face in the American workplace." Apparently he is not alone on this.
