Obama to 'reassess' Israel relationship

http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/19/politics/netanyahu-palestinian-two-state-solution/

(CNN)President Barack Obama told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the United States would "reassess" aspects of its relationship with Israel after Netanyahu's provocative statements leading up to Tuesday's Israeli election.

The phone call Thursday was officially described as a message of congratulations on Netanyahu's victory, but it also carried a serious warning after the prime minister opposed the creation of a Palestinian state in the last days of his campaign.

"The President told the Prime Minister that we will need to re-assess our options following the Prime Minister's new positions and comments regarding the two state solution," according to a White House official.

According to an official statement put out after the call, the president also emphasized the United States' "long-standing commitment to a two-state solution" during their conversation.

If the administration wants a two-state solution - and i sincerely fucking doubt that - then the only way to do it is to stop being Israel's lawyer. Stop twisting the Palestinian's arms, threatening Palestinians, and covering for everything israel does. A Palestinian state will only emerge if there is support for it, and our policy of aiding the oppressor destroys that prospect a little more every day.

If we can't do that then we need to start accepting a one-state solution, with full democracy for everyone.

have anyone to rely on for a viable state. They have few options and involves
a small percent of Israeli Jews who support them in a just solution to the occupation.

Collectively join together to amass an effort to tell the UNSC what you demand from them
and you will not accept anything less than what is yours as defined under the law.

It is a travesty to do otherwise and it will not bring peace, oppressing people
never does and just because a government has more power than you doesn't
mean they should get away with it.

Watch out for those land swaps, they could be fatal.

I know, I know..I repeat that ad nauseam and will continue to do so
until all hope has vanished.

We, US citizens, have an opportunity to do the right thing, but instead we are repeating the gross injustices of the past. We are even recycling the same arguments. We support the land stealing oppressors. We help them abuse the legal system. We call the victims who fight back terrorists. It is both sad and disgusting.

It is indeed a toxic dysfunctional arrangement.

Just look at what the hawks have tried to do to Obama on Iran and
then imagine what the response would be if he decided to push
for a resolve that did not involve land swaps etc.

His shift in foreign policy on the Iranian front is driving them crazy,
so I appreciate all we can get and hope the Palestinians do all
they can to make it impossible for the EU and US to ignore them.

They have very little going for them, but the people of the world
do support them when those said governments do not.

In solidarity, for a just peace.
