Caroline Glick says there were no Palestinian refugees

http://mondoweiss.net/2014/12/caroline-palestinian-refugees

It is the prime of Caroline Glick. The contributing editor of the Jerusalem Post who grew up in Chicago and moved to Israel after graduating from Columbia University in 1991 had a showdown with European diplomats ten days ago in which she told them that their concern with Israeli settlements was a manifestation of anti-Semitism that goes back to Jesus.

A couple weeks before that, she got to spout three paragraphs of her intolerant ideas in a long piece in The New Yorker on the one-state reality:

Like Netanyahu, Glick sees a Palestinian state as little more than a staging ground for assaults on Israel. “The border will be permeable,” she said. “Jerusalem will be divided and people will walk in the Damascus Gate and then through the Jaffa Gate and murder people. There is no way of securing the country…”

Just more hate against he Palestinians while claiming victim status. Scary shit.

Is that I support Israel, and think that Abbas has blew his wad, and should shut up and accept what is current, because he couldn't figure out how to negotiate with the Israelis.

I have relatives in Israel, in the occupied territories which I think should be kept by Israel.

If Palestinians wants to co-exist peacefully with Israel, then they can, and not be a second class citizen. Israeli Arabs enjoy being a regular citizens, and have MP's in the Knesset - why can't the Palestinians do the same? Accept Israel for what it is, and abandon the concept of Palestine as its historical context was never discussed.

That's what interests me.

I'm not a Bibi fan. I am actually a Livini fan, and Herzog fan, so I'm glad they're combining forces to throw Bibi out - he's been an asshole for so long that he's blind on what the Israelis really want. And I don't mean the right-wing settlers.

I like how Mondoweiss transcribed the um's and ah's. You don't always see that in transcriptions.

Her comment (as seen from the context provided in the video that Mondoweiss is so excited about) is not in response to a question or statement about Israeli settlements but about Europe having a different standard for Israel than for other countries in the region (including Palestine) which the European diplomat freely concedes to be true (and claims is justified).

Mondoweiss just invents "she told them that their concern with Israeli settlements was a manifestation of anti-Semitism that goes back to Jesus." when neither the word settlements nor antisemitism appear in her quoted remarks.

Edit to Add: It's also extremely bizarre that the Mondoweiss "editor-at-large" takes and collects screenshots of Glick's speeches.

"If I had a dollar for every screen shot I’ve taken of Glick’s arias– I mean speeches– over the years, I could take my sisters out to a fancy diner, or two. I just trashed a whole file of them a couple weeks ago, wondering what on earth I would ever do with them. But I can’t help it, I am back to my old habits."

Then the War of Independence against the Arab countries. Israel has had several wars to defend from aggression, and won every single war.

Israel even captured Sinai from Egypt, but later returned it to them on a peace agreement.

Egypt hasn't bothered with Israel since then. Same for Jordan.
