Knesset members celebrate latest E. J'slem settlement by posing on evicted Palestinian family’s sofa

Following last week's eviction of the Palestinian Natcheh family from their Beit Hanina home, Israeli Knesset members Michael Ben-Ari and Aryeh Eldad visited the house now inhabited by some eight settlers. To mark the occasion they posted a picture of themselves lounging on the Natcheh's sofa on Facebook.

"We are at the start of the establishment of a new Jewish neighborhood in the area, which will create a continuous sequence of Jewish neighborhoods in northern Jerusalem," said Eldad to the settler online mouthpiece, Israel National News. "Only the stubbornness of the Jewish landowners and Aryeh King of the National Land Redemption Fund ultimately led to the achievement of the day and we are confident law enforcement agencies will be required from now on to remove Arab squatters from all the properties of the Jews in the area." Ben-Ari and Eldad "affixed mezuzahs" inside of the house, rituatlistically marking the takeover.

The Knesset ministers hope to judaize Beit Hanina, though historically there have never been Jewish residents in this East Jerusalem neighborhood. On Facebook, Ben-Ari said the settlers will build 50 new housing units on the property.

And it can't be called a Holocaust, because that is something done TO Jews, not BY Jews.

...to the Nazis. That would be in poor taste, wouldn't it?

If you never call others out for being Nazis, why is it that only Jews are compared to them?

skinheads all over the place, there's no shortage of racists the world over who think their group is the superior race or "the chosen people". Time to link to the 14 characteristics of fascists, noting that nazis are just a racist subset of fascists:

Right-wing; racist; anti-semitic. Speaking of the LePen nutcases, Rense has an article there right now (yes, I went there; wish I hadn't now!) by Gilad Atzmon, expressing some sympathy for LePen:

'Le Pen’s victory is clearly an alarm call. As the financial turmoil starts to bite, it becomes clear that we are dealing with a ticking bomb. The way to defuse the situation is to launch a free and open discussion on maters to do with ‘belonging’, ‘identity’ and ‘culture’. The Left has been confused about it all for decades. European Left is riddled with contradiction, it would, for instance, support national movement around the world but never at home. The Left would adorably support Palestinian nationalism in Gaza and the West Bank but it would oppose similar English or French patriotism at home. How do we explain or justify such an unprincipled political attitude?'

Yes, the Left should sympathize with LePen and apparently the BNP, etc. in the UK. Ugh. Reminds me of Pat Buchanan expressing sympathy for LePen's daddy in 2002.

"Settler" brings to mind trailblazing pioneers.
In this case, "thieves", looters or pirates more appropriate.

Clearly you know not the meaning of either term.

Or perhaps this is part of the playbook?

It's actually not even a news source at all.

And the OP quotes another questionable source: Israel National News.

Mondoweiss does what they allege about MEMRI - find the most extreme Israeli views and present them as if they are mainstream.

Ben Ari and Eldad are utterly evil individuals, and if this happened as described it is revolting.

But they are not representatives of Israel or Zionism as a whole, any more than the BNP and EDL are representative of Britain as a whole.
