Related: About this forumOur "support Gaza" demonstration
Yesterday 11 of us took up position at a corner - 3-4 of us on each corner.
We held signs, some of us were silent.
I was pleasantly surprised at how many people slowed as they entered the intersection to read our signs, and also at how much support we got.
Some passers-by interacted with the demonstrators, altho none did at my corner.
Near the end some people arrived with an Israeli flag!
Not sure what their point was.
I know they wanted to counter our message, but I never get the thing of being wrapped in the flag-
whether it is Israeli, US, or anarchist.
We plan to do it again, at a different location, different time.
"Roving demonstration" or as one person put it, 'flash mob'.

that is why my sign read,
What About Gaza?
Now that there is a "truce"
(altho no truce on the suffering of the Palestinians)
my idea is to place some people about half a block apart. One sign would say,
"1800 dead" - whatever the number is.
next person's sign - says " " wounded
next - "millions displaced"
last: "for what?"
People don't like my idea - they want to stand together. I'm not afraid to stand alone.
