Leaflets Threaten Chicago Jews Over Israel in Gaza

Leaflets threatening the Jewish community because of Israel’s Gaza operation were found on parked cars in a Chicago neighborhood.

The leaflets found Saturday on six cars in the Pulaski Park neighborhood, in the northwestern part of the city, threatened violence if Israel did not pull out of Gaza and end its operation in the coastal strip that began July 8, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Chicago Police opened an investigation and notified the department’s hate crimes unit, according to the newspaper.

is that no one is on the grass. I guess Canadians ARE too polite K&R for the OP.

on edit: this is not a shot at Canadians. The 3 weeks I spent in your country in 2002 were great, and I look forward to re-visiting.

just commenting on the pic. My time in Canada was in Montreal. I was at a company called CAE doing an in plant acceptance of a flight simulator. It is a wonderful town. It is a big city without the big city attitude. Maybe it was because I wasn't from there, but I was treated very well by everyone. Oh, and I grew a love for poutine. I was there in Feb. 2002. The weather really didn't bother me any. I may now live in Texas, but I spent most of my life in Ohio, and lived in Cleveland from the age of 13 to 24. The one good thing about being there at that time is I got free ticket in the 10th row to a Montreal Canadiens game- my first live pro hockey game. As a customer of CAE, when I asked where to buy tickets I was given two for free. I walked up to one of the engineers and showed him the tickets. He said that he would buy the food and beer, and off we went. It was a great time. The best thing about the trip was getting to hear the different world view. All those idiots who say that Canadians have a lousy health care system and want it trashed have never spoken to Canadians. Sorry for the ramble

to the national park..so beautiful. Fresh croissants and coffee every morning just
across the street did not hurt either. I enjoyed your ramble...I want to go back, see
Montreal in the winter. I have heard about their winter festivals.

Croissant with margarine? I think we know about how many people would wait on line for that.

have far too much dependence on prepackaged and fast food. I remember my great grandmother who died at the age of 95 in the mid 70's. She had eggs at almost every breakfast. She cooked with lard, there was no such a thing as margarine. But she ate in moderation, and ate a lot of vegetables and fruits. Meat was always in small portions- for a long time in this country meat was a luxury item. We (myself included) need to start eating better.

just incorporating more veggies (fresh, not out of a can) and getting less fast food. I still have 50 more to go (I know, I let myself go for too long), but I am getting there. I didn't gain the weight overnight, I won't lose it overnight.
