Local gathering planned to remember slain Israeli teens
Local Jewish organizations have planned a community gathering to honor the memory of the three kidnapped Israeli teens, Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel, whose bodies were found near Hebron on Monday.
The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at the Jewish Community Center's Performing Arts Building, 2 Millstone Campus Drive.
"Over the last 18 days, the Jewish community across the globe, including here in St. Louis, has rallied its support for the families and the people of Israel," reads a statement from the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC). "We now must turn to honoring the memories of these young men. "
