Venezuela will send oil and diesel fuel to the Palestinian Authority as part of agreements made with Mahmoud Abbas during his visit to Caracas, AFP reported.
One of the world's largest oil producers, Venezuela has pledged an initial shipment of 240,000 barrels, however it is unclear how they will be shipped.
Abbas arrived in the country Friday to seek backing from President Nicolas Maduro for observer status in three Latin American regional organizations: The Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
Maduro declared his support for the move, saying "the Palestinian people have the right to maintain commercial relations with the world as well," AFP
