I know this is a conservative site but this is not an op/ed, it's strictly informational. Everyone on the right and left should be concerned about how the self described anti/post Zionists via their slanted framing of Israel and distortions of the I/P conflict are promulgating the hatred of Jews, Zionists and Israel.

The neo-Nazi and former Ku Klux Klan leader in custody for a murder spree at two Kansas Jewish community centers has frequently cited the work of anti-Israel activist Max Blumenthal, the son of Hillary Clinton adviser Sidney Blumenthal.

The accused killer, Frazier Glenn Cross, runs the VNN Forum, a prominent white supremacist website devoted to exposing what its contributors believe is a Jewish conspiracy controlling America.

In “Kikes gone wild by Jew Max Blumenthal,” VNN forum members praise a Blumenthal video that features unflattering interviews with Israelis.

Another thread promotes a video by Blumenthal whose title is so fitting for the neo-Nazi forum that it was posted under the title Blumenthal himself had for it: “How To Kill Goyim And Influence People.”

A thread started by the alleged Kansas murderer himself is titled, “Israel Forming Super PAC to Attack [Ron] Paul and [President] Obama.” Cross cites an appearance by Max Blumenthal on the Kremlin propaganda network RT in which Blumenthal claims that the Emergency Committee for Israel, a Washington-based nonprofit group, is in fact a front for Benjamin Netanyahu and is attempting to subvert the American political system.

1. Why aren’t mainstream Israel critics defending Max Blumenthal?

Max Blumenthal is experiencing what goes around coming around.

Having blamed various critics of radical Islam as well as international Zionism for the 2011 mass murder in Norway, unfairly, Blumenthal now is in focus because the Overland Park shooter was a big fan of Blumenthal’s Jewish money and Israel Lobby conspiracy theories. The shooter was a Neo-Nazi and KKK leader for whom Jewish control of the media and international money was a core belief motivating hatred of Jews. That’s a shared space for anti-Zionists of multiple political ideologies and religions.

Specifically, the shooter focused on Blumenthal’s theory that Jewish campaign donors were trying to buy the 2012 U.S. presidential election for Bibi Netanyahu, as expressed by Blumenthal in a lengthy article and a Russia Today television interview, to which the shooter linked. It’s ugly stuff, but the type of ugly stuff for which Blumenthal has become known.

I’ve been less harsh on Blumenthal than others, The Overland Park murders, anti-Zionist conspiracy theories, and the blame game:

Before journalist and author Max Blumenthal turned his eye towards Israel/Palestine, he was a dogged investigator of the seedy world of neo-Nazism and white supremacism in the U.S. But now, liberal Israeli newspaper Haaretz has joined right-leaning Israel advocates in trying to turn the tables on him by linking the journalist to Frazier Glenn Miller (also known as Frazier Glenn Cross), the suspect in Sunday’s deadly shooting at two Jewish centers in Kansas City.

Various personalities are waging a concerted smear campaign against Blumenthal, whose book Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel kicked up a storm of controversy over its indictment of Israel’s human rights abuses. The canary in the coal mine for them was that Miller, who posted on the far-right forum Vanguard News Network as “Rounder,” once posted about an interview Blumenthal did on Russia Today.

“Jew journalist Max Blumenthal exposes and explains this attempt by a foreign government Israel, to buy the presidential election for the neo-con, war-mongering republican establishment,” Miller, who has been a violent white supremacist activist long before Blumenthal began reporting, wrote.

Earlier this week, right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh claimed the suspect “admits he was inspired by [people like Blumenthal], and that’s why he took action against the three Jewish people in Kansas City.” Limbaugh cited an article by neoconservative writer Ron Radosh, who wrote that the posting showed “who inspire[d] him to have taken his dreadful murder today.” Radosh also claimed that Miller’s rant was “similar to the arguments of Walt and Mearsheimer, John B. Judis and other realists and leftists.”

FrontPageMagazine claimed that Blumenthal was “very proud” at “finally having achieved his great dream” through Cross’s actions. Daniel Pipes in the National Review wrote that Frazier Glenn Miller “gives every appearance of being a true believer inspired in part by Blumenthal’s ravings.”

White supremacists’ linking to discussions about the Israel lobby is not new. The website of David Duke has approvingly cited this site and such authors as Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer; analyses about the Israel lobby have been used by Duke to attempt to show malign Jewish control of U.S. foreign policy, though Walt, Mearsheimer and others are simply not anti-Semites and make clear that Zionism and Judaism are not the same. It brings to mind what Tony Judt, paraphrasing Arthur Koestler, said during a debate on Walt and Mearsheimer’s work: “You cannot help it if idiots and bigots share your views for their reasons.”

Haaretz joins the fray

Earlier this morning, the liberal Israeli newspaper Haaretz joined the right-wing campaign.

In a news article entitled “Kansas Murderer Admires Prominent Israeli Critic,” Haaretz revealed that accused shooter “Frazier Glenn Cross repeatedly praised controversial journalist Max Blumenthal.”

One page on the forum even links to an article that sarcastically refers to Blumenthal as “Country Music Expert Max Blumenthal.”

he does not run the site, that 'honor' goes to a guy named Alex Linder who owns and operates the site

more over the "How to kill goyim" quote was based on the title of a 2010 video by Blumenthall about the Torat Ha'melech (Kings Torah)

and on a Google search it seems that "K*kes gone wild" is something VNN made up in fact it seems to like to put racist terms in frnont of "gone wild" for a number of the threads there, albeit this article gives the impression of course without explicitly saying that the title was Blumenthal's

This is not intended as support of Blumenthal; but I have never cared for the sort of guilt-by-association that takes the form of 'X is a bad person; X cites Y; therefore Y must be a bad person'.
