Israeli soldiers 'shoot, critically injure' Palestinian teen

http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=681538

On Monday, Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank shot dead at least two Palestinians.

Saji Darwish, 18, was killed after being shot near Ramallah, while Raed Alaa Addin Zieter, 38, was shot dead at the Allenby Bridge crossing with Jordan.

Another Palestinian was killed during a car accident in disputed circumstances near Tulkarem on Monday, with Palestinian security sources saying that Israelis opened fire on the car prior to the crash, a claim the Israeli military denied.

Israeli military forces routinely use "unnecessary, arbitrary and brutal force" against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, with some killings amounting to war crimes, Amnesty International said in February.

The apologists who make the case that IDF and Israel can do no wrong. They've been quiet of late.

I posted this one a while back about a grossly antisemitic article from Ma'an...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/113430118

Ma'an admitted to it and removed the article due to PMW's efforts...
http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=8517

If that's not bad enough, they then followed that fiasco up by publishing a vile article denying the Holocaust.

I think the IDF investigating itself is like the United States Military brass investigation sexual assault by brass upon women troops. It is highly suspicious. If they really want the truth out they should be a commission made of of Jordanian and Israelis to investigate especially since the incident seems to be on Jordanian territory.

Israel expressed regret on Tuesday over the fatal shooting of a Jordanian-Palestinian judge by IDF troops at a West Bank border crossing, a statement from the premier’s office said.

“Israel regrets the death of Judge Raed Zeiter yesterday at the King Hussein (Allenby) bridge and expresses its sympathies to the people and government of Jordan,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said.

Both articles, or posts in question, at Ma'an were removed: one with a retraction while the second appeared in what one could call a comments section.

Please review that posts that Shira has provided. She can post links but their are replies within her thread that provide ample proof to what I have written.

Ma'an, an independent Palestinian news agency, has published a viciously Antisemitic article depicting Jews as the force of evil in the world, fulfilling their goals of world subjugation, according to the plan in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The article contends that Jews "are planning means to take over the reins of world politics, by spreading organized destruction throughout the countries." It blames the Jews for the French and Russian revolutions and well as other civil wars, initiated by Jews in order to weaken countries of the world, in order to rule over them. The Ma'an op-ed describes the Jewish tactic:

"The Jewish Masons have achieved their aims: They have gained world domination through their monopoly of the banking system, their control of the gold [trade], natural and industrial resources, water and food, as well as by destroying the economies of countries [to ensure] that they remain under their control... They have succeeded in creating new states at the expense of stable ones, by partitioning and drawing new international borders, through armed military invasion, the theft of native lands and the expulsion of their residents - as in the case of Palestine and its residents."

From an article by Abd Al-Halim Abu Hajjaj,
Ma'an, independent Palestinian news agency,

They keep doing it again and again. And this one hasn't been retracted yet.

Name any other reputable news source that does this over and over again.

shows that Ma'an was on top of things.

Why not post the truth, Shira?

"This article has been removed.
It was written by one of the agency's readers, Sawsan Najib Abd Al-Halim, and not by one of Ma'an's journalists, writers or editors.

because it contains incorrect information and hateful content that are unjustified and which do not in any way represent the opinion of Ma'an or its editorial policies. It was published during the war against Gaza (i.e., in response to Hamas rockets, Israel's Operation Pillar of Defense targeted the terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip), and staff was unable to examine it thoroughly because of the workload caused by the war. was published in the articles' section intended for readers.
However, Ma'an will re-examine the policy of publishing readers' articles to avoid the occurrence of similar mistakes."
