It's the occupation and Israeli bigotry that are anti-Semitic

http://972mag.com/its-not-the-boycott-thats-anti-semitic/88267/

What we do to the Palestinians and Israeli Arabs – in the last two days, for example – has caused more damage to the Jewish people than anything since the Holocaust.

Who knows? Maybe the Jordanian judge, Raed Zueter, killed by Israeli soldiers Monday, went mad from grief over his critically ill 5-year-old son lying in a coma, and really did attack the troops, and maybe they truly had no choice but to kill him in self-defense. Or maybe there was no such attack, maybe there was just an argument and the soldiers got a little trigger happy, not for the first time. Reportedly, there are eyewitness accounts for both versions of what happened at the Allenby (or King Hussein) Bridge border crossing from Jordan into the West Bank yesterday.
---
And even if the young Darwish was throwing rocks at Israeli cars, was it necessary to kill him? And why was he throwing rocks at Israeli cars? If Palestinians had gobbled up the land around Tel Aviv, Haifa and every other Israeli city for Palestinian settlements, and if a Palestinian army and Shit Bet were controlling the lives of Israeli Jews for a half-century, would Israeli Jews throw rocks at passing Palestinian cars?

Today, Tuesday, the Knesset enacted a new law sponsored by Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and whose overriding purpose is to keep Israeli Arabs, who are 20 percent of the population, out of the Knesset.

The last paragraph is a clear example of the practices of Israeli apartheid.

That the loudest proponents of Israel's "Jewish Character" are always the people who seem to possess the least such character. Or any character, for that matter.

It means evaporated herbal tea without the herbs.

It means before you open your mouth to speak, you are already wrong.

It means you're not impressing anybody with disingenuous denials of reality and thinly veiled indirect insults that limbo under the "civility" bar.

It means you were already lost with your first uncomprehending reply.

It means you're in so far over your head that you don't know what water is.

Seriously, I've been wondering what would lead someone to support insane, suicidal terrorists. I hadn't considered the possibility that it was a perverse extension of an obsession with a cult of personality.

Maybe you should have stuck with ponies.

with raising the minimum to 3.25% as the threshold for gaining seats in the Knesset. It will hurt the small religious parties which often splinter the government. Additionally it will make it easier to have stable coalitions. That is the overriding purpose of the bill, not to keep Israeli Arabs out of the Knesset.

Israeli Arabs make up 20% of the population of Israel. If they voted for the arab parties, they would have no problem attaining the necessary votes to enter Knesset. However they generally vote for other parties, namely Labour, Meretz.

I have long said that Knesset needs to break the power of the small religious parties, and this (plus the drafting of previously exempt ultra orthodox) are a great step forward.

The previous threshold was far too low for a long time. The lowest in any parliamentary governments that I am aware of. Most use a 4-5% as the threshold.

Hopefully this will encourage parties to combine, like the United Arab list and Balad for example. Combined they would have no problem passing the threshold.

What are those evil apartheidists doing to prevent Israel's Arabs (more on that below) from joining their parties together for one big coalition capable of garnering enough votes to be in the Knesset? What are they doing to prevent Israel's 20% of non-Jews from electing Arab parties into power? Mind control?

Make this good, I can't wait.

*Now as promised, regarding 972's use of the derogatory (in your view) description, "Israeli Arabs", wasn't that deemed apartheid in your view just recently?

WHY YES YOU DID SAY IT WAS APARTHEID WHEN YOU WROTE THE FOLLOWING:

Reducing the Palestinians living within Israel to "*Arabs" besides being just a tad overtly racist is Apartheid.

So therefore, this recent 972 piece (of shit) is racist and apartheid for reducing Israel's Palestinians to mere Arabs, and yet here you are promoting this "apartheid picnic" of an OP.

This is a democracy? This is Mississippi circa 1961. You don’t like the term “apartheid?” Well, here’s Nobel peace laureate Desmond Tutu in a statement he made Sunday for the opening of Israel Apartheid Week:

I have witnessed the systemic humiliation of Palestinian men, women and children by members of the Israeli security forces. Their humiliation is familiar to all black South Africans who were corralled and harassed and insulted and assaulted by the security forces of the apartheid government.

It's part of the 'apartheid picnic', isn't it? It's a "tad racist".

Well then why are you posting such racist drivel from your favorite "anti-racist" 972 mag?

Your definitions of apartheid were ridiculous, weren't they? It's a big word you're having trouble comprehending - correct?
