The Jerusalem Post, which has a history of unbelievable editorials, has done it again. The worlds leading Jewish paper claims that the arrival of African refugees is part of a conspiracy by left-wing NGOs, meant to undermine the Jewish majority in Israel. Dont look for proof for those claims; even JPost admits that there is none. Heres the money quote:
Many of these NGOs are striving to undermine the character of Israel as a Jewish state by fighting to keep as many African migrants as possible in Israel and by encouraging more to come. But they rarely declare their true intentions publicly because they know that they would lose public support in Israel if they did.
And this is by a newspaper that opposes the two-state solution, yet somehow thinks that 50,000 Africans are a bigger threat to the Jewish majority than 2 million Palestinians.

I understand that the JPost was once centre-left, but moved right when it was taken over by the dreadful, and since disgraced, Conrad Black, who also owned our Daily Torygraph. I don't know who owns the JPost now.

(45,850 posts)the +972 article took the gist of the JPost OP unless of course you've a different interpretation of the OP in JPost
here is a snip
Over the years, these NGOs have been disseminating misinformation about the migrants in an attempt to advance a post-Zionist political agenda that seeks to transform Israel from a Jewish state to a state for all its citizens.

(50,254 posts)And your obsession with demonizing "972mag" is getting silly. They are just as reputable and just as entitled to be quoted on the I/P issue as any other source used in this group.

(58,724 posts)But true nonetheless.
Not obsessed with demonizing 972mag. They are definitely just as reputable and just as entitled to be quoted as any other source used in this group.
Also, they are just as able to be criticized as other sources are.
I just find it amusing that basically every single thing written there ends up here, like a digest.
