Israeli Courts Extend Detention of Five Jewish Terror Suspects

Much of the details in the case, which involves both soldiers and civilians, are under a gag order; all suspects are barred from meeting with their lawyers.

Judges at the Petah Tikvah Magistrate's Court and the Jaffa Military Court on Monday extended the detention of five Israeli suspects in a case of violence against Palestinians.

Seven suspects, among them soldiers and civilians, have been arrested recently as part the investigation. Two have since been released.
Much of the details in the probe, which is being conducted by the Shin Bet security service, are under a court gag order.

One of the detainees has been identified as Shneor Dana, who is suspected of torching a Palestinian vehicle. His remand has been extended until Thursday.
Another detainee, Pinchas Shandorfi, the son of Rabbi Yigal Shandorfi, the head of a yeshiva in the West Bank settlement of Nahliel, is suspected of security offences the details of which are under wraps. Shandorfi was arrested alongside a minor, whose identity is under gag order as well. Their detention has been extended until next Monday.
