Don’t Bring Down Israel's Right-wing Government
Just let it crash as it collides with reality and lashes out at everyone along the way.

Do not bring down the right-wing government. Bite your lips and let it live out its days, through to the very last one. On the level of the day to day, things are bad, but politically, these may go down as the best years of our lives.
The right wing is collapsing into itself, in practice and in concept. It has no answers. This week they even started fighting among themselves: Naftali Bennett against Bibi and Moshe Ya'alon, Habayit Hayehudi against the Likud. As Menachem Begin said at the time about the Iran-Iraq war we can only wish success to both.
This government has existed less than nine months. It looks like a rolling train wreck. It cant even manage itself. The churn rate among the ministers is remarkable, ministries changing hands, deals being concocted behind closed doors. Benjamin Netanyahu holds no less than five ministerial portfolios and has spent the last month dealing with bringing forward the next Likud primary election, where he insists on contending against himself. On the date the cabinet was sworn in, Netanyahu vowed to aspire to peace and broaden the coalition. In the argot of social networks, his vow would have won an LMAO.
The right-wing campaign of attack and persecution of the scapegoat du jour is ugly and vulgar, and painted in shades of McCarthyism and fascism. It is vile, but its achievements are limited they seem to boil down to the arrest of a left-wing activist following an investigation aired on television, or the trial of a live-performance artist who defecated on the national flag.
