Polish entrepreneurs will seek business partners in the U.S. On Tuesday, together with President Bronislaw Komorowski, a large trade mission is going to the States. The aim of this mission is to encourage America to invest in the Polish fuel sector and buy Polish food.

The conference will be attended by representatives of the fuel industry as well as the chemical and energy sectors. There will also be representatives of companies from the IT, research and development, agri-food, aviation and engineering and logistics sectors. Along with these, there will be representatives of technology parks, special economic zones and regional institutions.

The Tempting Fuel

One of the key objectives of the trip will be to seek partners to invest in the Polish fuel and energy sector. “We want to encourage Americans to participate in large energy infrastructure projects. These projects, such as the Gazoport terminal in Swinoujscie or the Gdansk Naftoport, are already being implemented, or — like the petrochemical complex in Gdansk — they are being planned,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik.

“Potential contractors from the United States are to be encouraged by the improvement of operational conditions for American companies interested in the exploration and production of natural gas from conventional and unconventional sources, which was announced by the Ministry of Economy. We shall present the state of play on the new legislation regarding this issue,” says Antoniszyn-Klik.
