Russian cities suffer from the failure of heating systems in conditions of severe frosts. People face extreme cold exceeding -22 degrees without heating. Russia's failure to address problems of its own critical infrastructure is another consequence of Putin's aggression: a shortage of specialists mobilized for the war and a lack of technology due to international sanctions.

at 15 degrees F.
This is not nearly as bad as the deep freeze we had
two years ago, and nothing compared to what Russia
is going through.
Still, I don't like the cold. That's just me. I never liked
cold weather.

BY ROBERT FROST
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what Ive tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
