Very Bad News, Guys. This MIGHT BE OVER. - The Russian Dude 17:07

Really bad news guys. The war is almost at a complete stalemate. Exactly what Putin always wanted. Putin hope the west will get tired to support Ukraine. Western’s attitude is slowly changing. Russia’s side of the story. The best case scenario for Ukraine and Russia.

Are we to believe the pronouncements of some random YouTuber? Not to say that the Ukraine situation isn't concerning, but I don't get my news analysis from YouTube.

The conflict has reached a stalemate and a war of attrition is being waged. To support his analysis he cites the head of the Ukrainian military forces and other third-party reports such as those from the ISW.

That danger involves the West's lack of resolve to continue funding the Ukraine war effort. The Russian Dude hoped that the Ukraine counteroffensive would be successful and break the back of the Russian economy and regime. That having turned out not to be the case, Putin is gaining confidence that his long game will win, especially with the divisive political situation here in the U.S. Zelensky will visit President Biden tomorrow (Tuesday, December 12) at the White House. He will also be the guest at a "Senators Only" meeting. Finally he will have a closed-door session with the Speaker of the House. Of course, he will use the opportunities to plead for renewed funding. Unfortunately, Putin trolls have brainwashed many MAGA social media users into believing that Zelensky is a thief.

As far as funding. Most of the gqp Congress and almost all of the gqp senate is for continued funding for Ukraine. MoFo johnson is the cog in the wheel, but he will have to give in..hopefully soon.

Germany’s prime minister gave a speech a few days ago pointing directly at russia and the US and said Germany and other EU and NATO nations would pick up any slack in funding from the US.

I had words with you a week or so ago when I bothered to view one of his videos and identified that its sensational title wasn't supported by its content, and the fact his titles are commonly funding-encouraged clickbait was borne out when reading some of the replies to him on YouTube which expressed impatience with him and said he does that often to gin up video views and doesn't really have any special insights.

Because you reproduce the video titles verbatim, your own OPs become effectively clickbait. That's not healthy for DU or this subforum. Try Googling the title and you'll see what I mean. This is currently the second result for that string of words. It's also appearing in DU's topic summaries, and you probably know what they say about repeating a message.

There are far superior and more reliable sources of information about current affairs in Ukraine that are easily available. The quality is more important right now as few of us are posting much about Ukraine for a variety of reasons, so there's little to counterbalance this jaundiced view. Sometimes no information is better than duff information.

I can, as I have done, ask you to exercise some more responsibility in what you headline for the reasons I stated above. You have a role in spreading propaganda that is not in Ukraine's best interests, but you don't seem to see it.

Read down the responses to this video on YouTube. The guy has plenty of rubes who swallow what he posts hook, line and sinker. Then there are some that point out his blatant use of clickbait, including the fact that "IT'S ALL OVER" is a common theme for him, though sometimes "IT'S ALL OVER" for the Russians, not Ukraine.

It's noise, not information, and there's more than enough noise at the moment. I don't want to have to trash this subforum or block you to avoid having to see this rubbish, as I'd rather it wasn't spread all over DU as well, whether I see it or not.

TVP, UATV, The Gaze, DW, FRANCE24, Reporting from Ukraine, and others. This particular blog includes information not only about the war in Ukraine, but information about what is happening in Russia as well. It also provides insight from someone who has been in the Russian military which hardly any other blog provides,

I will go ahead and state my intentions directly so you will have to bear with my decision: I will not stop posting "The Russian Dude," Please don't ask me again.

That will no doubt get tiresome. If it gets tiresome enough, I'll use the trashing and blocking tools I have, but you'll still be complicit in spreading what is effectively disinformation. If you dont care about that, it says a lot. It also reduces the value of this subforum.

There is nothing unique in the information this guy spreads, nor about his background or insights. Others do it without the exploitive clickbait and histrionics.

Russian bot armies alert his posts on YouTube along with other bloggers that you may find more friendly like Artur Riehl and Denys Davidov.

You might want to reevaluate the comments you read on YouTube because many of them are coming from Russian agents.

Meanwhile, if you want to complain about a blog then go ahead. The rest of us can use a good laugh about your futile behavior.

What are you on about? I responded to a post of yours, and you didn't like it. You probably didn't like it when I responded to debunk a previous "Russian Dude" video you posted, though you accepted that my criticisms were grounded at the time. Maybe it's you that has a grudge? I don't really care.

If I could be bothered, I'd ask how you're so sure about that laughter as I'm not seeing or "hearing" any, but I'm beginning to suspect it's all in your head.

If you think it's an attack, you can always try out the alert button. You may even get lucky.

Or you could just let this all go and get on with your life.

I've now blocked your ability to send me private messages because three abusive ones in an evening is quite enough and it's boring seeing my mail notification popping up repeatedly just to find it's you calling me an asshole, a Russian troll and telling me to fuck off etc. etc. yet again.

I doubt these exchanges have been much interest to others who bother to visit this forum looking for info on foreign affairs either. My interest in them all but evaporated quite a few posts ago.
