It looks like the Russian troll farms are alerting any blog that doesn't provide glowing comments about Russia. Stop YouTube censorship.

(86,968 posts)I have noticed that The Russian Dude and Artur Rehi have been through the same issue and comply yet there is a constant barrage of complaints.
Bummer.

(112,712 posts)People know what they are viewing when they click the link and YouTube also has features for age verification and content moderation. I don't need YouTube to censor my content. I suspect that the complaints are coming from the Russian troll farms in an effort to control the narrative.

(3,622 posts)I watch The Russian Dude, Artur Rehi, Denys Davydov and Ukraine Matters. Same thing is being said by all of them.
I consider this guy the most informative of all of them (and I don't know his name). The channel is 'Reporting from Ukraine' I always make sure to click 'Like' and I am subscribed. I do take the time to comment here and there, and I can make more of an effort to type something in. I believe it helps their algorithms. Sadly, I can't afford financial support.
I'm getting more and more disgusted by Youtube's policies and censorship, as well as inundation of advertisements. I used to successfully use Ad Blockers, but they are now preventing the play of the videos all together. One work around was using DuckDuckGo's browser and 'DuckPlayer', although The Russian Dude's videos won't play on it for some reason.
OK, next up will be people bitching at me because I don't support the channels by watching the stupid advertisements. I have ALWAYS had a severe aversion to all forms of advertisement, even back in the 1970's when I was a young teen - before we had remote controls we hooked up a manual wire to the TV so we could mute the volume at least. - Now I do everything I can to avoid commercials and commercialism. (e.g. I record programs I like so I can skip through the commercials, etc).
And with the modern technology where the damn computers track what you look at, what you spend time on, hell, I'm not convinced that the smart devices are not listening to my private conversations as well. (Not sure how else to explain seeing advertisements about things I may have discussed privately with someone, and DEFINITELY not on the internet in any shape or form). It is downright creepy.
But back to Reporting from Ukraine: I would be willing to listen to commercials if there was no other way. This is important news (and we are not getting it from MSM any longer) For now, I have found some work arounds. Until then, I will always try to keep Big Brother from looking over my Shoulders and Blinding me with Advertisements.
