Russia's Invasion of UKRAINE has caused Major Problems for the Russian Economy as Trade with Europe & the West has collapsed and Changes to the Global Supply Chain caused by the SANCTIONS have caused further problems. The value of the Russian Ruble has COLLAPSED over the past 12 months and despite Interest Rate DOUBLING from 7.5% to 15% over the past few months increases and the introduction of Capital Controls on Russian Exporters the Ruble is still trading at far below historic level. The Russian Central Bank has introduced more Capital Controls which force Western Businesses to accept payment in RUBLES for the disposals. overseas. Force them to liquidate, or they themselves (the rich ones) will start fleeing Russia by the droves, causing yet even more of a drain on the Ruble.

So when I look at a chart of the Ruble vs USD there is only a little drop vs a rise from 7/2022. I think the claim of collapse is way overblown.

4. I would call the change of 52 rubles to the dollar in July 2022

to 92 rubles to the dollar currently more than a drop. That is a 77% change in the value of the ruble and even that value is highly leveraged with the new capital controls that are mentioned in the video. The inflation rate being reported by Russia is also dubiously low.
