North Korea: Been there, done that, got the...stamp?
Will Trump now need a visa to return from North Korea if he visits again?
(Source: VOA Washington Talk) Shows North Korea giving serious consideration to diplomacy and promoting diplomacy results for domestic public relations.
While Kim is firing off short range missiles North Korea went ahead and issued this commemorative stamp yesterday their time.
Jenny Town, the editor of 38North.org, was a guest along with the standard guest Scott Snyder from CFR. The two US experts discussed the significance of the recent series of short range missile launches from North Korea. They also discussed the new US visa policy toward persons who have visited North Korea. The photo moment feature with the stamp is at the end of the program.
The discussion (in English) was pretty low key and typical until the end when Scott seemed to recommend individual reciprocal trust building measures to build trust between the two states; this is stepping out for him. VOA left it toward the end of the program (at 22:00). Jenny Town had said Kim didn't seem to have much to show for his early unilateral measures. VOA Washington talk is always in English with Korean subtitles.
