Tunisia bus explosion: At least 11 killed on military vehicle in Tunis

At least 11 people have died after a bus carrying the Tunisian presidential guard exploded.

The blast occurred on a main avenue in Tunis, the capital of the North African country, according to a spokesman for the Interior Ministry.

The incident is unfolded on Mohamed V Avenue, Radio Mosaique reported according to BBC News. The spokesman had previously said that six people had died, but later updated the death toll.

Security and presidential sources have described the explosion as an attack, and said it was not immediately clear whether it was a bomb or an explosive fired at the bus as it travelled along Mohamed V Avenue.
