It's not a health issue with me - it's just that since I grew up on a farm with baby calves to fed (their Moms were milked), I formed a loving attachment to the little critters and the thought of killing and eating them, young or old, sickened me. My siblings also still feel the same.
Could anyone here eat their pets?

I do hunt sometimes, but as far as meat I mostly eat fish (trout and tilapia) from my aquaponics system. This was a cost /health move I will eat a burger, it don't bother me, I just don't go out of my way to get at them anymore.
Quail is occasionally on the .menu also, when my layers get too old to lay (about 24 months old). Eggs are to my larger protein intake
