The latest from Kevin Anderson

Kevin Anderson’s latest slide lecture presents an optimistic view saying the rich have about a one-in-three chance of keeping the global temperature rise to 2°C, but only if we cut emissions by 10%/year for the next 50 years. That is about as hopeful as it gets. He says we've missed the 1.5°C Paris opium dream already. A riveting, morbidly fascinating soap box train wreck.

It's refreshing to hear someone who knows the truth of the situation. Or at the very least is being more cautious than the policy driven info we get.

By the way, this totally validates where I've been coming from. Just two days ago I was talking about how we can't rebuild our infrastructure and reduce carbon emissions simultaneously. I went on to say that cement trucks aren't electric yet. And people glaze over.

So, as I was saying, the answer is going to be NOT DOING, or personal responsibility, if you will. And that gets right back to population stabilization, which is a nice way of saying " we better do this or we'll all suffer horribly". I like this guy, and I would swear I heard him before.

Alright, back to politics. Like politics, science needs to happen from the bottom up too. Bozos.
