At Extinction Radio, we bear witness to the Sixth Great Extinction Event currently unfolding by welcoming and reflecting a diversity of viewpoints on how, when and why extinction is occurring. Using a mix of formats including interviews, presentations, poetry and music, we offer wisdom and compassion on navigating the demise of humanity and non-human species as well as advice and encouragement on living fully and with full awareness until we can no longer go on.
Episode 48 will be all about extinction. Debba Kale Earnshaw will read a very short post from Sam Carana which everyone should listen to. We have put it first because it is that important.
Ivey Cone will respond to the recent tempest in a teapot that occurred when she posted Zhiwa Woodbury's segment on YouTube this last week. Guy McPherson will define extinction. John Compost Cossham will talk about having children when extinction is near. Gail Zawacki will present her dispatch from the Endocene where she will talk about the costs to our planet from excessive population growth. I will have a conversation with Kathy Harrison about seed catalogs. Peter Melton will have a conversation with Lisa White about using astrology to tap into the collective consciousness. Ivey Cone, Carolyn Baker and
Andrew Harvey will have a conversation about how they met and the new book Carolyn and Andrew are working on. Finally Susan Livingston will present the Global Extreme Weather.
Of course we will feature our Poet Laureates of Doom, Rex Eagle, Debba Kale Earnshaw and Benjamin The Donkey. My Musical Gem for this week will feature the music of Bob Beach.
Extinction Radio is broadcast on ActivateMedia.org on Tuesday night, 9pm Boston time/6PM Pacific time/ 2AM Wednesday UK Time.
