Christian Science Monitor: What's going on with polar ice sheets?

http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/2016/0210/What-s-going-on-with-polar-ice-sheets

Recent measurements show that the Arctic’s sea ice extent in January was the lowest ever in the satellite record, while the Antarctic also saw lower than average ice coverage last month and a major ice sheet there could be verging on instability.

The reports come at a time when climate and polar researchers are investigating the potential for heavy melting of ice sheets in the Arctic and Antarctic, and the effects the loss of the ice could have on global sea levels.

According to the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC), January’s sea ice extent in the Arctic averaged 5.2 million square miles, down from the more than 5.6-million-square-mile average observed between 1981 and 2010. The previous January low came in 2011; this month’s mark was around 35,000 square miles less than that record.

Experts told us with confidence that it would be the South Pole where we would first see disastrous ice melts and what not.

But then a few years later, it seemed that they were wrong - the Arctic, not the Antarctic, was going kablooie.

Now it appears both polar regions are under assault.

When you examine the man-made activities at the North Pole, you discover that tomographic equipment is being used by Big Industry to determine where the oil and natural gas reserves are, where the mineral reserves are.

These tomographic activities can melt ice. (If used in large enough proportion.)

Also, Big Industry prefers that the large ice shelves in the North Pole regions do melt. Then it is easier to drill.

Then you talk to other experts who are saying that when the cell phone towers and their antennae are everywhere,w hen cell phone and other device use is ubiquitous, then the electro magnetic smog goes up to the earth's natural occurring magnetic belt ()which protects our atmosphere) and travels north.

Additionally, all this electro-magnetic-smog is destroying the ability of birds and bees to navigate and may in part be what causes some of the dolphin and whale beachings.
