By all measurements of a tipping point, we have met or exceeded most of them.

(59,590 posts)Except that atmospheric CO2 content didn't decline. It just kept ticking up, rising about 2 ppm each month YOY just as it has for decades now.
Bonus - the jubilation was based on taking China at their word on their total industrial emissions, and PRC statistics are kind of like stumbling through a smoke-filled attic wearing dark goggles in search of a gray cat.
Other that that, though, jubilate away!

The OP is correct ... 401.52 IS greater than 399.58 and 397.31.
