This award-winning film was released in 2011 as the global human population reached 7 billion. The film explores the critical challenges facing life in a world of 7 billion people, challenges that persist today as population numbers continue to climb. 4. Unless we can figure out a way to get off this human mountain and back down to 100 million or less

...within 50 years or so, any other actions we take regarding population are just designed to ease our guilt. Sweet and caring, but utterly irrelevant. How the hell do we get rid of 7.2 billion people in 50 years, humanely? Answer: We don't.
