Sue Baby, Sue! Citizens fight back against the gasholes

The sacrifice zone strikes back...

More than 20 Salem residents have filed a lawsuit in Harrison County Circuit Court against Antero Resources Corporation, Antero Resources Bluestone, and Hall Drilling LLC, citing that oil and gas operations near their homes have negatively impacted their quality of life.

The residents allege that Antero's hydraulic fracturing has ruined their water wells, damaged area roads while creating excessive traffic, light, noise and air pollution. Some of the 24 residents cite that employees have harassed them, according to court filings. The plaintiffs said they have been negatively impacted and are no longer able to enjoy their lives and use their homes and properties in the way they previously enjoyed, prior to Antero and Hall Drilling's actions, according to the filings.
- ** hall Drilling was bought by Antero a couple of years ago

(This is not an endorsement by me of her consulting business, or a condemnation. I saw the movie, and that is the beginning and end of my knowledge of Ms. Brockovich. So, don't take my word for anything. It's just a lighthearted comment.)

Once, on a thread about Issa, someone asked if any Democrat was even opposing him this go round.

I made the mistake of remembering that a Democrat had recently posted at DU announcing that he intended to oppose Issa. I linked to his post.

Turned out my linking to the candidate's DU post in response to a question about whether anyone was opposing Issa somehow made me part of the guy's campaign--and therefore obligated me to provide DUers with all kinds of data and studies backing up my "campaigning" for the Democrat.

I mentioned a Democrat candidate on a board where the TOS require us to vote and further require us to vote for the Democrat (except in Crist v. Meek type circumstances) and suddenly, I was guilty of being grossly negligent toward other DUers.

And, she would NOT let it go, either. Post after post.

Imagine if she had perceived me to be shilling for customers for a private consulting firm?
