Paul Fennelly from the Australian Petroleum and Exploration Association says the Greens have hijacked the debate in NSW and it's threatening the NSW economy, jobs and the supply of cheap power. "Let's stop having the Greens and some of these lunatics dominating the economic debate about CSG."

Paul Fennelly's comments labelling opponents of CSG as "lunatics" have angered listeners who sent several SMS messages to the Country Hour after his comments were broadcast. Pete (surname withheld) is a hobby farmer south of Bermagui. "These CSG people are pathetic. What will be left of our gas or water in 20 years."
Steve Alexson was a farmer and is currently a builder living in Warialda. "If CSG Is so necessary and safe then the industry should be forced to put enough capitol in trust to fairly compensate any one adversely affected".
Bob Baker is studying biofuels at the University of New England. He lives on a rural block near Armidale. "The Greens want to improve the planets health and wealth, (while) the CSG industry just wants to enrich themselves and they don't care if they destroy our country."
